Synopsis:
As the entire Malory family gathers at Haverston to celebrate the season, a mysterious present arrives anonymously. The gift is an old journal -- a tender and tempestuous account of the love affair between the second Marquis, Christopher Malory, and a dark gypsy beauty named Anastasia, who seeks a love match with a non-gypsy in order to save herself from a prearranged marriage to a brute. Though the dashing English lord Anastasia sets her sight upon burns for the exquisite, exotic miss, Christopher could never consent to wed such a lowborn lady. But miracles have been known to happen in this season of peace and giving and love, as two extraordinary people seperated by cicumstance of birth begin a passionate dance of will and wiles. And in the miraculous blossoming of a glorious romance at a long ago Christmastime, there are wise and well-learned lessons that will enrich the hearts of the Malory descendants -- and, indeed, of everyone who has ever dreamed.

My Review:
I particularly liked the ending of this novel. Geez, if anyone asks what is my judgment to give 5 stars for book I read? The answer is the end of story of the book itself. End of story in the novel has always successfully provided a strong influence for my judgment. And I think a good novel is what got me itching to discuss it shortly after I finished reading it, which is when I've reached the end of the story.

Say You Love Me by Johanna Lindsey (Malory-Anderson Family #5)

|

Synopsis from the Book:
Left penniless and in dire straits, Kelsey Langton realizes that only by allowing herself to be sold at auction canshe rescue her sister's future. So the proud, desperate lady enters the infamous House ofEros, resigned to becoming some well-heeled gentleman's plaything -- and Lord Derek Malory is the highest bidder for Kelsey's charms.

A handsome and irredeemable scoundrel, Derek soon draws the sensuous, unsuspecting maiden into a world of unparalleled pleasures and dangerous rivalries. But Kelsey knows she must always guard the secretof her highborn past -- even as her grace, spirit, and beauty entice her new "master" to renounce his scandalous ways and take a gamble on true love.

My Review:
Like the other friends, hero character in this novel is quite different from usual. Derek is not a bad boy, he is romantic and really nice. In this novel, misunderstanding not be a cause of conflict because it is presented in another way. Although there will be a misunderstanding, but it is presented with an attitude of understanding between the characters.

Tender Rebel by Johanna Lindsey (Malory-Anderson Family #2)

|
I have not been this Malory series for such a long time, and now, when I read another, feels like I should open the other again.

After I read this from the first book, I found that Johanna Lindsey has some uniqueness in her stories. That is the way she never forgot to make us open another book from the same series. She always makes us glance at the book before or afterwards. JL has always made me curious about the stories of other characters, though in this case I've read the other three books in this Malory series. When I read the first book, I felt compelled to read the story of James and Anthony. When I read The Present, I feel obliged to know the story between Warren and Amy roomates is unique. When I read the fourth book, I was intrigued by Jeremy's story that I had never read.
Well, when I read this second book, Tender Rebel, suddenly I wanna read the first or the afterwards book I have ever read before.

Indeed, when reading the Present, I do not really follow Anthony and Roslynn part though interested, but I was not serious enough, including the story of James and Gregorina. And now I want to read The Present again. And when I read the Tender Rebel, again I want to read Love Only Once that tells the emergence of James and Jeremy for the first time. This book also made me want to re-read Gentle Rogue where I forget the plot and could not write the review. Blaah.

The Magic Of You by Johanna Lindsey (Malory-Anderson Family #4)

|
I just finished 3 JL’s novels when I read this. And I gave two of them with 5 stars. Somehow I really love the way JL process her stories become very interesting and not boring at all. It’s adorable, funny, lively, exciting, romantic, strained, and certainly complete!

I couldn’t stop myself to stop reading before I finished it. I just could take a break about 10 minutes before I should continue reading. Sometimes I know this kind of genre is unpredictable if I take a look the ending in this book. In this case, I finally just gave up to find the spoiler and read patiently from the start, which is I couldn't wait to finish.

Normally I do not like stories where there is a conversation that does not involve the main character, especially if the viewpoint is put to the supporting cast. Well, this novel is an exception because I cannot stop falling in love for each supporting character when the viewpoint switching to them. When I read the story of James and Georgina in the beginning which occupies parts quite a lot, I still love it to death instead it made me even more impatient to read their stories. I wanted to scream see James and Georgina who are very adorable. Plus the presence of Jeremy who made me breathless with overflowing charm despite his appearance did not last long, but still so dominant.

I like Johanna Lindsey..

Somehow this book is a good start for me to read Johanna Lindsey's book.. The story in this book is rather complicated and difficult to follow. I mean, if I was asked to tell the story in detail from the beginning, I was definitely confused to answer. But if you look my progress, you’ll know what I mean.

From the beginning there were always parts that I wanted to pass because I hardly got the point and I became bored. But later, in some parts of the book, I felt like I should back to the part which I said I didn't get the point’. It’s because I needed the information. And I often felt like that. I think JL loves to put the mystery in her story, so we cannot forget how the story was going anyway. Sometimes I was not wondering and not curious about a few things, but suddenly surprised in simply so I have to repeat to read again like I said.

Geez, Mallory family was really potential to recount in another stories. I like this kind of family story, full of debate and affectionate, exciting, and most important they have unique various characters in each person. I love them in once they appear in the book. And they all have the potential to be loved. It’s including Anthony and James who fairly make me curious.

Review: Ten Things I Love About You - Sepuluh yang Kucinta Tentangmu

Ten Things I Love About You - Sepuluh yang Kucinta Tentangmu

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Waaaah.. sebastiaaaaan..

Mereka lucu. Olivia cerewet sedangkan Harry jarang ngomong. Apa emang sebenernya dari seri kedua emang karakter mereka kayak gitu ya? Habis gara-gara lihat kehadiran mereka disini jadi penasaran gitu, rasanya pingin curi-curi baca Bevelstoke #2 lagi deh.

Trus, ya ampun ya ampuuun, rahasia sebastian yang diungkapkan disini bikin pingin aku baca lagi semua bagian dia di Bevelstoke #2. Kelucu-lucuannya dia, waktu dia bacain novel ke semua orang - duh, serasa nih orang isinya bikin ngakak mulu -, trus setiap dialog dia pingin baca lagi.
